A family of cardinals

I made a portable bird feeder that I intend to take during my photo hunts. the idea being to install it somewhere, to move away and capture the birds that come to feed. I installed it on an old tripod.

We have cardinals that sometimes come to the garden, so I bought a cardinal seeds mixture and I set up the tripod on the patio and step inside a few feet away.

The cardinals quickly discovered the manger and come to help themselves.  I can then photograph them at leisure without disturbing  them. There is a family, dad mom and chicks. Here arephotos for fun.

A story of sparows

This spring we installed a bird feeder on the pear tree in the garden.

Since it’s the permanent show!

The sparrows are very active and there are many seeds that fall to the ground, so we have the visit of other birds such as chickadee, woodpeckers, warblers, cardinals and of course squirrels and even a rabbit!

The presence of all these birds has attracted a cat from time to time …

Here are some pictures of this happy fuss.

Gathering of St-Marc College Alumni

On June 2nd, we attended an evening organized by alumni of St. Mark’s College in Alexandria. More than 125 people attended mainly promotions 1959 to 1965.

We were a dozen representing the class of 1961. More than 6 others who live in Greater Montreal could not come.  I had a lot of fun sharing these moments with some very good childhood friends!

The concentration of former students of St-Marc in Montreal is special, it is due to the circumstances we lived in Egypt at that time.
